Dalam live di akun Instagram pribadinya, kiper berusia 28 tahun tersebut mengungkapkan banyak hal soal masa depannya, termasuk juga nasibnya di Singo Edan.
Dalam siaran langsung yang dia lakukan bersama sang istri di kediamannya, Kurnia Meiga secara terbuka menjawab banyak pertanyaan pendukungnya yang merindukan ia kembali ke pelukan Singo Edan.
Namun atas pertanyaan ini, ternyata kiper yang sepanjang karir nya memang baru memperkuat klub asal Malang tersebut, memberikan jawaban mengejutkan.
"Doakan saja saya bisa segera merumput. Ditunggu aja kejutannya. Tapi tolong jangan terlalu berharap saya kembali ke Arema, karena saya sendiri tidak tahu nanti mau bermain di mana. Tapi bukan berarti saya tidak mau, cuma belum tahu dan belum pasti," beber Meiga dalam siaran langsung di Jumat (14/09) pagi tersebut.
"Saya tidak ada masalah apa - apa dengan Arema, bagaimana hubungan saya dan Arema hanya kami berdua yang tahu," lanjutnya.
Soal Arema yang kini tengah limbung di pentas Liga 1, kiper yang juga adik Almarhum Achmad Kurniawan tersebut berharap agar Aremania bisa mendukung siapapun pemain yang kini bermain di Arema.
"Arema itu tim besar, jadi siapaun yang main tolong didukung saja,"
"Yang pasti saya tidak ada kontrak seumur hidup dengan Arema, jadi saya mau main di mana saja, yang penting saya nyaman," pungkasnya.
Kurnia Meiga sendiri sudah nyaris satu musim menghilang dari pentas sepak bola nasional. Seperti dilansir dari striker.id (07/10/2017), Kurnia Meiga pada pertengahan musim 2017, tiba - tiba tak lagi bermain, lantaran sakit.
