Setelah menjalani pemusatan latihan sejak 29 Agustus lalu di Malaysia, para pemain tim nasional (timnas) Indonesia U-16 akhirnya diberikan waktu senggang untuk melepas penat mereka dari rutinitas latihan, Jumat (14/9). Kali ini, pelatih Indonesia U-16, Fakhri Husaini, mengajak skuat asuhannya untuk mengunjungi menara Petronas di Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Di tempat yang memang sudah menjadi salah satu ikon dari Malaysia tersebut, David Maulana dan kawan-kawan mengabadikan sejenak kebersamaan mereka. Selanjutnya, mereka diberikan waktu bebas untuk menikmati tempat tersebut. Ada yang memanfaatkannya untuk berbelanja barang kesukaan, mencari makanan untuk sekadar mengisi perut, hingga ada yang mencari spot bagus untuk sekadar berselfie ria.
Setelah puas menikmati suasana di area sekitar menara Petronas, para pemain langsung diarahkan untuk menuju Masjid Jamek yang terletak di Kampung Baru, masih di daerah Kuala Lumpur, untuk melaksanakan salat Jumat. Di sini, para bertemu dengan Warga Negara Indonesia (WNI) yang sudah cukup lama tinggal di Malaysia.

Tak ayal, tim pelatih maupun para penggawa skuat Garuda Asia yang memang dalam kegiatan ini mengenakan pakaian yang seragam, langsung diserbu untuk dimintai foto bersama. Bahkan, ada salah satu WNI yang memiliki rumah makan di sekitar masjid tersebut, memberikan sedikit jamuan minuman segar kepada rombongan timnas U-16 selepas salat Jumat.
Dari masjid tersebut, perjalanan dilanjutkan ke salah satu tempat perbelanjaan, untuk memberikan kesempatan Rendy Juliansyah dan kawan-kawan untuk membeli oleh-oleh atau barang yang mereka sukai. Keseruan serta keceriaan mewarnai kegiatan ini, hingga akhirnya, rombongan tim kembali ke hotel tempat mereka menginap sekitar pukul 17.00 waktu setempat.
"Ini memang kami sudah programkan sejak jauh hari, untuk mencari waktu yang tepat bagi mereka untuk refreshing setelah kami berlatih cukup lama. Ini adalah yang pertama mereka dapat untuk berekreasi, dan mereka berhak setelah berlatih keras untuk mendapatkan waktu libur sehari penuh," kata Fakhri, kepada Goal Indonesia.
"Setelah ini, kami langsung fokus untuk berlatih dan persiapan lagi untuk Piala Asia U-16, khususnya untuk laga pertama tanggal 21 September melawan Iran," tambahnya.
Sementara itu, para penggawa timnas U-16 mengaku menikmati hari libur yang diberikan untuk mereka. "Senang bisa dapat waktu libur, sehingga nanti kami bisa fokus kembali untuk berlatih dan lebih siap untuk Piala Asia. Kami juga mohon doa dan dukungan dari masyarakat Indonesia untuk di Piala Asia U-16 nanti," kata Fadilah Nur Rahman, bek timnas U-16.
Seperti diketahui, saat ini para pemain timnas U-16 sedang dipersiapkan untuk mengikuti Piala Asia U-16 2018 di Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, yang akan mulai digelar 20 September mendatang. Di ajang tersebut, mereka tergabung di grup C bersama Iran, Vietnam, dan India.
